Lawn Mowing Tips

A neatly-mowed lawn is always a treat to the eyes. Here are some lawn mowing tips for a more pleasant gardening experience.
Clear the lawn of toys, rocks, garden hose, sticks, debris or any other object that can obstruct your lawn mowing path. This will prevent any untoward damages to the lawn mower.
As much as possible, do not leave the power mowers, tillers and other electrical equipment outdoors. Rain, heat and the humidity can ruin the motors making them less safe to use. Keep all electrical equipment in the garage or the toolshed. As an alternative, cover the equipment with waterproof tarpaulin or a sturdy plastic and place them under a shade.
Make sure that the safety features of your lawn mower are working. Check the model of the lawn mower just to be sure. Also, have the mower serviced regularly by duly accredited technicians.
Mow across slopes especially when using a walk-behind mower. Don’t start, stop and turn when mowing on a slope.
Avoid any horseplay while mowing the lawn. Children and pets should relocate inside the house or anywhere away from the lawn while the the mower is turned on.
